How do you solve a problem like Owen Wilson?
Owen Wilson has made jazz-rock band Steely Dan very angry. (I know! It's like having a mime mad at you or something. Owen must be quaking.)
Tongue firmly in cheek (one assumes), the band has posted a very funny letter on their web site to Owen's brother Luke, asking Luke to get his big bro to apologize for the fact that Owen's latest movie, You, Me and Dupree, rips off the character found in Steely Dan's Grammy-winning song, "Cousin Dupree" (another slacker crashing on a couch).
Good stuff, well worth a read. It's also prompted a lively discussion in the Soundboard Forum.
Incidentally, this isn't the first time Owen Wilson has drawn the ire of a band. Check out the Knuckleheads' hilarious crowd-pleaser, "Tommy Made Owen Wilson Cry," a (supposedly) true story that makes Owen Wilson look like a jerk and a wimp. A "jimp," if you will.
